International Collaboration

Prof. R.D. Kaushik was invited and visited as Invited Scientist (Brain Pool Programme South Korea) in 2007-08 for research colloboration. Professor R. D. Kaushik, in the capacity as Dean, Faculty of Engg & Technology, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, signed MOU with Institute of Chemical Engineering, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia. Professor R. D. Kaushik Visited the Department of Chemistry, faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical University, Sofia and Institute of Chemical Engineering, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia from May, 29 to June, 08, 2011, for joint collaboration related to research work. He has collaboration with Universitat polytecnica de Valencia, Valencia, Spain and visited this university in 2012 and 2014 as invited scientist for joint collaboration related to research work. In 2011-2012, Dr. Suhas made International collaboration with Dr. Silvia Román-Suero, Department of Applied Physics, University of Extremadura, Badajoz, Spain for research projects along with other partners from Department of Urban Water and Sanitation, UNESCO Institute for Water Education IHE, The Netherland.

Memberships and Positions in various academic/ Professional bodies

Some of the members are the life members/fellows of Indian Chemical Society, Indian Council of Chemists, The Indian Science Congress Association, Society of Environmental Sciences etc. Prof. Kaushik acted as the Zonal Secretary (North Zone of Indian Council of Chemists, and had been the Sectional recorder/ Secretary of Chemical sciences section of 98th and 99th annual conference of The Indian Science Congress association. He was the Sectional President of Chemical sciences section of 101st annual conference of The Indian Science Congress association. Faculty members have visited US, Germany, France, Canada, South Korea. Prof. R. D. Kaushik had been the Chairman/Convener of Haridwar Chapter of The Indian Science Congress Association (2013-2019). He is Vice-President of The Indian Chemical Society(2020-2023) and Council member of Indian Science Congress Association(2020-2021)

Special Features of Master’s Programme

The present PG course (CMCA) has been designed to generate & channelise potential of manpower especially for quality control and R & D division of chemical industries. It offers excellent opportunities for carrier advancement in various quality assurance laboratories/organizations of repute. Master’s Programme is job oriented and Applied with almost 100% job absorption of students in various institutions/ Industries. This programme includes an Industrial training in IV semester. Masters programme provides opportunity to students for getting absorbed as QC chemists, R & D chemists and Analytical Chemists as well as in teaching profession. P.G. students are trained for the analysis of Water, soil, fertilizers, oils, fats, soaps, detergents, paints, pigments, Cement, Mortar, alloys, drugs and Pharmaceuticals including ayurvedic and allopathic drugs.
