Overview

Working as a Professor in the Physics Department, Faculty of Science, Gurukula Kangri University, Haridwar (India) with over three decades of academic and research experience in Condensed Matter Physics/Material Science. Research focuses on the development of functional metal oxide nanomaterials for application in electronic gas sensors, UV Photodetectors, photocatalytics and photovoltaics. Guided 23 doctoral students leading to Ph.D. degree and published extensively in reputed journals. More than 160 research articles in SCI/SCOPUS Journals of repute (h-index-37, i-10 index-82, citations-4120+). Actively involved in international collaborations and regularly contributes to academic conferences and scientific forums. Visited USA, Britain, China for academic and research collaborations. Delivered 65+ invited talks and chaired technical sessions in various national and international conferences/seminars/symposia in India and abroad. Reviewer of reputed research journals published by Elsevier, Springer, IEEE etc. and member of editorial board of three national/international journals. Acted as Executive member of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) Regional Chapter UK, Member of Board of Management as UGC nominee of autonomous colleges in India, member of Governing Council, Member of the Academic Councils, Planning and Monitoring Board, Board of Studies and Research Degree Committees of many Indian Universities. Served as an expert member in selection committees of different universities, public service commissions, Department of Science and Technology etc.
