Dr. Reena Verma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Kanya Gurukul Campus, Dehradun, the second women’s campus of Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. She has nearly two decades of teaching experience in the field of English language and literature.Her doctoral research, entitled “Riti Siddhanta (Theory of Style) and the Odes and Narrative Poetry of Keats: A Study Towards an Applicational Model,” examines the applicability of the Sanskrit theory of Riti, as propounded by Acharya Vamana, to the poetic works of John Keats. The study proposes an applicational model that demonstrates how the classical schools of Indian poetics can contribute to the critical analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of literary texts, particularly in terms of Rasanubhuti (aesthetic experience).Dr. Verma has actively participated in numerous national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops, where she has presented research papers and delivered invited lectures as a resource person. Her scholarly contributions include a substantial number of research publications, several of which appear in UGC CARE-listed journals and the Indian Literature Journal of Sahitya Akedemi. She has recently edited a scholarly volume titled Indian Knowledge Texts: Psychological and Literary Perspectives, further reflecting her engagement with interdisciplinary approaches to literature and Indian knowledge traditions. In addition to her teaching and research activities, Dr. Verma is actively involved in mentoring and providing research guidance to scholars.
