About

Overview

Dr. Suhas is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and a researcher in environmental and materials science. He obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and completed postdoctoral research in France and Portugal. His research focuses on the development of adsorbent materials, particularly activated carbons, for water treatment and energy-related applications. His work includes adsorption and biosorption processes, hydrothermal treatment, and the removal of emerging contaminants from water and wastewater. He also conducts research on energy storage using supercapacitors and applies electroanalytical techniques such as cyclic voltammetry and amperometry for material and device evaluation. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, the supervision of PhD students, and serves as a reviewer for several international journals. Dr. Suhas has received over 10,000 citations and maintains active international research collaborations with institutions in Portugal, Iran, Taiwan, Brunei, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Russia.
